Garment care and washing-instructions for leotards

General information
While the metallic or "effects" fabrics are very appealing, these fabrics will dull with wear and repeated washing. Areas such as the seat, under the arms and the abdomen, or those areas that incur abrasion, may show some loss of foil or effects. Please wash accordingly to the following instructions in order to help your leotard look better longer.
Please note that combining a white or light color fabric with dark color fabric may show color transference. This is a common industry problem, and can become obvious under certain conditions. We have found that perspiration and deodorant often contribute to colors bleeding, especially when the two colors meet under the arms. Even by following proper washing instructions, you may notice some color transference.
•    Repeated wear and washing may cause the fabrics to fade or lose foil.
•    Alcohol in all aerosol products affects these fabrics. Please cover the leotard before applying.
•    Deodorants and perspiration may cause these fabrics to fade or lose foil.
•    Hologram and Nylon/Lycra® with foil fabrics will dull slightly in the jeweled area due to the heat application.
•    Also note, damp leotards that are left in gym bags may show color transference.
In addition, we have found that when a white or light color garment is worn under a black velvet warm-up or shorts, some color may transfer from the warm-up onto the leotard.

Dreamlight
Use the following washing instructions for metallic, effects or leotards adorned with rhinestones:
Hand wash the leotard, inside out, in a large volume of cold water. Do not use harsh detergents! do not use bleach! Remove the leotard immediately, do not let it soak. Towel-dry any excess water and hang to dry.
For all other fabrics: Machine wash separately in cold water on gentle cycle or hand wash. Remove immediately and tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.

GK Elite, Motionwear and Adidas
DO NOT HAND WASH
Turn garment inside out. Machine wash individually in a large volume of cold water on gentle cycle. Must use a very mild liquid detergent. We strongly recommend using Ivory Snow liquid detergent.
Do not use bleach, harsh or granular detergents or liquid fabric softener.
Remove immediately from washer and tumble dry on low or no heat setting.
Do not hang or lay flat to dry and do not use dryer sheets.

The Zone
To ensure that your garment maintains maximum performance and style, we recommend that all leotards are turned inside out and machine washed on a 30% short cycle. Immediately hang the item out to dry on a coat hanger and keep away from heat.

* Do NOT tumble dry or iron
* Do NOT rub or scrub foil print or metallic garments
* Do NOT hang over radiators

Algemeen
Hoewel de metallic of “effect” stoffen heel aantrekkelijk zijn, is het niet te voorkomen dat deze stoffen op den duur enigszins vervagen. Daarom is het van belang om te weten dat enige vervaging of verlies van effectfolie kan optreden in de volgende gevallen:
a. door gebruik en herhaald wassen;
b. op de plaats van het zitvlak, oksels en lies en op plaatsen waar het pakje wrijving ondervindt;
c. als gevolg van de inwerking van transpiratie, afhankelijk van de zuurgraad van het transpiratievocht;
d. door het gebruik van deodorant;
e. door het gebruik van spuitbussen waarin alcohol verwerkt is (dek in dat geval het turnpakje voor het gebruik ervan goed af).

Wij  adviseren u om onderstaande wasinstructies te volgen om zo lang mogelijk plezier te hebben van uw turnkleding.

Dreamlight
Voor metallic en effectstoffen en voor stoffen voorzien van crystals.
Was het turnpakje, binnenste buiten, in een grote hoeveelheid koud water. Gebruik GEEN krachtige wasmiddelen, bleekmiddel of wasverzachter. Gebruik alleen daar waar nodig een fijnwasmiddel. Haal het pakje meteen uit het water; laat het niet in het water liggen! Dep met een handdoek het overtollige water er af en hang te drogen.

Voor alle andere materialen.
Was het turnpakje, binnenste buiten, in de wasmachine met een grote hoeveelheid koud water en op een langzaam toerental. Gebruik GEEN krachtige wasmiddelen, bleekmiddel of wasverzachter. Gebruik alleen daar waar nodig een fijnwasmiddel. Haal het pakje meteen uit de machine of uit het water. Droog het pakje in de droogmachine op lage warmte of hang te drogen.
